Hennessy Sr. Dies T homas F. Hennessy Sr., founder of the Lock Museum of America, passed away June 25 in Bristol, CT. He was 88. He graduated from The Porter School of Tool & Machine Design in Hartford, CT, in 1948 with a degree in method engineer- ing and began his career at P&F Corbin, later moving on to Yale Lock, Eagle Lock, American Hardware, Emhart Corp. and Lori Corporation. In 1955, he started Hen- nessy’s Locksmith’s Shop in Bristol, work- ing part-time there for 25 years. In 1972, Hennessy co-founded the Lock Museum of America in Terryville, CT, which houses his private collection as well as displays many other historical locks.
