IAIL offers many courses such as the ones we just completed at our conference in Dallas and at the ALOA Convention and SAFETECH. This year, we had 21 students take their Certified Forensic Locksmith (CFL) exam in various specialties. At this year’s conference, IAIL member photo identification cards were issued to T WWW.ALOA.ORG all attendees as part of the conference package. On Thursday evening, we had a wine and cheese reception hosted by Technical Services, Inc. All enjoyed the homemade wine selection offered. On Friday evening, enjoyed a presentation by Hans Mejlshede, a Danish locksmith and forensic investigator. On Saturday evening, we had an open forum on IAIL and our different specialties and the types of cases coming our way At this year’s conference, we were pleased to have John Abounader, executive director of International Association of Auto Thief Investigators (IAATI) discuss how our two associations can work more closely with education and training. Our board feels that aligning our association with IAATI will help our members gain valuable knowledge in the auto theſt arena. Thank you, Brian VanDenburgh, for introducing IAATI to IAIL. As we move into the holiday season, it is important to start planning and budgeting for next year’s educational opportunities. We hold classes at the national tradeshows to serve our members who attend these shows.
