Whether you agree or not with the comments, you need to know how your employees really feel, and in this instance, perception is their reality. Look at this as a great opportunity to identify areas of misunderstanding or confusion where you can clarify, provide better explanations to employees and help keep them better informed. If you do it properly, it’s amazing how well your hearing can actually im- prove without hearing aids! Employee Performance Review Template Let’s look at an employee performance review template (see Fig- ure 1). This is something I created in Excel, which offers two ad- vantages: 1) The categories/nomenclature can be easily changed and 2) the formulas will handle the math for you. Of course, you can also use the form and do the simple math manually.
