Got out of the Ma- rines in 1967 and started working in the locksmith industry. Aſter forty years working in the industry I decided that it was time to give back to the industry. Although I am still working as a manufacturer’s representative for ASSAABLOY EMS/OEM division I ran for ALOA North East Director in 2006 and was elected for that position. I reran for the Directors position again in 2008 and won. Then in 2010 I ran for the position of Secretary and won by a very small amount. I reran in 2012 and 2014 and was reelected. I am now running for President of ALOA-SPAI and hope to take the years of knowledge that I have and keep ALOA growing. Major changes have taken place while I have been on the board and I have been honored to be part of those changes that have made ALOA-SPAI a much better organization. About three years later, I bought out another locksmith in Jeffersonville, Indiana and ran two shops with three employees. I joined ALOA in 1984 and SAVTA in 1986. In November 1996, I was offered a job at Mas-Hamilton in Lexington, Ky. and started working there as tech support and product testing. I closed my shops in May 1997 and moved to Lex- ington. Aſter Mas-Hamilton was bought out by Kaba in 2000, I was laid off. I started working at MBA USA in 2000 to build their education side of the business. I developed and taught the GSA courses until 2010 when I became President of SAVTA.
