PRESIDENTIAL PERSPECTIVE A Busy Summer Ahead “Remember to visit your local locksmith association meetings and be a part of the greatest profession in the world.” ALOA SPAI, our divisions, our school, and our relationship with industry manufacturers and distributors. This month is SAFETECH 2014, the Safe and Vault Technicians Association annual con- M ference, in Lexington, KY — or as they call it, the lock mecca for safes and vaults. I always enjoy the SAVTA show because there is so much excitement in training and product. Safe men from all over the world pilgrimage to this holy city with hopes of gaining the coveted information that only safe men know. Next it is off to Florence, Italy, for ELF, the European Locksmith Federation conference and show. If you haven’t been to one of these shows, sign up now and bring your better half and enjoy the adventure of Italy. Just Google “ELF” and you’ll be taken to their website. The ALOA Training Center in Dallas is busy as a beehive. Mr. Murphy popped up in faulty underground utilities that we didn’t plan for, but our team has it all under control with no other big surprises, and we are on track to be completed by this summer Unless another one of those Mr. Murphy surprises pops up; then we’ll have to deal with it. Remember to visit your local locksmith association meetings and be a part of the greatest profession in the world. Pitch in, teach classes and help your competitor be a better lock- smith, because there is more than enough work for everyone. I appreciate all of the e-mails I receive with suggestions and complaints; both are impor- tant to the continued growth of ALOA. Stay safe. Best regards, ay brings us closer to summer and a lot of activity within our locksmith community. We start off at SHDA, the Security Hardware Dis- tributors Association annual meeting and product discussions in Chicago, IL. AIL President John Truempy and I will be in attendance promoting Tom Demont, AHC, CAI, CFDI, CFL, CMIL, CML, CPS, ARL President ALOA Security Professionals Association, Inc.
