What’s New PRODUCT BRIEFS Toshiba introduced two new HDTV (1080p) mini-dome IP ca eras for wide area coverage video su veillance, an outdoor model (IK-WR0 and an indoor model (IK-WD05A). The two models feature 110-degree hori- zontal viewing angles to capture up to 20 percent more area than cameras with the standard 93-degree angle lens, along with motion detection and alarm recording. Both models will live stream at 30 frames per second with a two-megapixel resolution and 4X digital zoom. The cameras include wide dy- namic range, day-night imaging and IR lighting to help accommodate a range of lighting conditions. Both models are ONVIF Profile-S compliant for sim- plified integration with third-party ON- VIF products and have 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. Securitech recently intro- duced a larger and thicker (11 gauge) stainless steel anti-pry plate for exterior entry options on the Trident multi-point exit lock. The purpose of the new design is to match the protection found in the standard anti-pry plates on Trident locks without exterior entry. New entry options include thumb-turn, thumb-turn and handle, lever trim, lever trim with DC release, and fail-safe lever rim with DC release. Access control inte- gration will continue to be supported in these new exterior entry options, accord- ing to the company. Rosslare Security, a provider of professional Access Control and Intrusion solutions, announced the release of its AY-U900 UHF long-range proximity card reader to fit a wide range of RFID applications, such as transport management, vehicle management, car parking, production process con- trol, and access control.
