The initial call was almost referred to a colleague because we assumed that it was automotive in nature. It turns out that it was nothing of the sort. If we would have handed this call off, I’m sure our friend would have fixed the problem. However, because we were rec- ommended to this person by “another government agency” to whom we had previously provided service, we could have dam- aged that relationship without realizing it by handing this job to someone else.
