ELECTION RESULTS Announcing the 2018 Elections Winners Following are the minutes from the annual meeting to elect the newest ALOA officers and directors. T he meeting was called to order on June 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. CST by President Jim Wiedman at the ALOA SPAI Headquarters, 3500 Easy Street, Dallas, TX 75247. The following were in attendance: President Jim Wiedman, Executive Director Mary A. May, Secretary Clyde Roberson, Education Manager Jim Hancock, Proctor Barry Roberts and Brian Lack from Simply Voting. President Jim Wiedman requested a report from Proctor Barry Roberts concerning the proxies that were in his possession. Roberts reported that there were 402 electronic votes and 7 paper votes cast, and that there were no anomalies. Proctor Barry Roberts then advised what the results were for the 2018 election: Secretary: Clyde T. Roberson, CML, CMST – 379 votes South Central Region Director: Mark E. Dawson, RL – 40 votes International – Asia Region Director: Beta TAM BA (Hons), FCSFS, RL – 6 votes International – Europe Region Director: Hans Mejlshede, CML – 12 votes Northeast Region Director: William L. Mandlebaum, CML – 80 votes; Anthony E. Wiersielis, CPL, CFDI – 56 votes Northwest Region Director: No candidates Bylaws Changes 1. Article 7, Section 2, Composition: Approve – 355 votes; Disapprove – 20 votes 2. Section 14, Removal: Approve – 362 votes; Disapprove – 17 votes 3. Article 14: Approve – 352 votes; Disapprove – 18 votes A motion was made by Clyde Roberson and seconded by Jim Hancock to accept the votes of the 2018 election and declare them valid. Vote 100% accepted. President Jim Wiedman directed the Proctor Barry Roberts to retain all proxies until the members attending the Annual Convention Membership meeting deter- mine their final disposition. President Jim Wiedman declared that there was no oth business to be conducted at this meeting. A motion was made by Clyde Robers and seconded by Jim Hancock to close the 2018 voting meeting.
