Small Shop Owners: Our Industry’s Backbone and we on the ALOA SPAI board are very proud of you. We have all been in your shoes and understand the decisions you need to make to run your business efficiently and profitably. This past year in New Orleans, ALOA offered five days of business classes, and all were well attended. That tells us that our small shop owners want more business classes. Everyone knows that you cannot grow your company beyond your earning ability without employees. With this last statement in mind, let’s talk I about the Security Leaders Forum coming up in San Diego, CA, this March. You need to be there if you are thinking about the growth of your company. There are three mornings of seminars by noted profession- als, and three aſternoons of one-on-one sessions with distributors explaining how they can help you grow your company with n this month’s page, I would like to reach out to the bulk of our member- ship: the small shop owner. You are the backbone of the locksmith profession, buying programs and training. There will be manufacturers gathering information on new products for 2015. The most important aspect of the forum is the networking with other shop owners — like myself —who will be happy to share what was successful for them and what wasn’t. Big guys, little guys — we all have the same problems running our companies efficiently and profitably to the best of our ability. Your ability is expanded with training, so sign up now and bring your better half along for a well-earned vacation. San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Disneyland and Knot’s Berry Farm are just some of the attractions in the area. Meanwhile, the ALOA SPAI board voted to honor a true leader of our industry by naming the new educational center in his honor. The new center will be called the Aaron M. Fish Security Training Center. Aaron M. Fish has dedicated his life to the locksmith industry, and we at ALOA SPAI are honored to name the education center in his honor. There are still opportunities to Help ALOA Fight the Scammers The ALOA Locksmith Task Force is now leading the battle against phony locksmiths. Join us in the fight by contributing to the fund to pursue legal action against the scammers. Every dollar counts.
