The Blue- Ridge Series has a solid ¼" steel plate on the front of the formed 1.5" thick door. The body is made from 10g continu- ously formed steel with multiple fire boards arranged to provide 90 minutes of fire protection. The safes feature a UL RSC Security Label, 3-way bolt work, drill resistive hard plate, multiple relock systems, motion-activated LED lighting, power ports with 110v and USB and a mirrored interior back. The four new Speed models have an open design for ease of cleaning, wide spacing between jaws, a large safety shield with a molded tray for accessories, electro-magnetic main switch and separate cutter motor switch, and four-sided jaws with tip stop slots. The series includes the Speed 040 (automatic/manual), Speed 044 (semi-automatic) and the Speed 045 (manual). The Speed 046 operates the same as the 045 but is equipped for duplication of flat/safe deposit- style keys. The company has also released the Flash 008 Mechani- cal Key Duplicator (an upgraded version of the 008B Mini- Mite model) for typical cylinder and vehicle keys for use in limited-space areas. It will also cut cruciform keys and other keys with long blades, tip stop keys and flip-style keys. Features include smooth-rotation, four sided, nickel plated jaws; slotted jaw surfaces to accommodate tip stop bars; a rigid shoulder gauge design; wide spacing between clamps and aluminum titanium nitride-coated cutter for extended life and oxidation resistance (temperatures up to 800°) Medeco has recently released several new products, including new versions of the Medeco M3 and X4 CLIQ intelligent keys that are now available with BLE connectivity. What’s New Medeco Releases New Products M edeco Security Locks, a division of ASSA ABLOY N.A., has launched several new products. The Medeco XT Access Interface Module (known as AIM) allows the user to insert their XT key to trigger actions in other systems, using both authorized and unauthorized event conditions. With the module, users can unlock doors with electric strike or maglock, initiate video cameras and trigger access control or alarm pan- els. The product interfaces with any system that can accept a dry contact (NO/NC), has two-person authentication option and can be powered by an XT key or 12-24V power supply. The company has also announced that its Medeco M3 and X4 CLIQ intelligent keys are now available with BLE connectivity. The new compact CLIQ Connect Keys allow administrators to remotely provide access and schedules to remote key holders when paired with supported iOS and Android smartphones. This connectivity can eliminate visits to centralized remote or local programming devices. The CLIQ Connect App is available as a free download from either app store and can report key bat- tery level, marking and system number. The keys come with a replaceable CR2330 battery. The company has also introduced the Medeco XT Dual-Tech Kaba Ilco has introduced two new mechanical key duplication machines: the Flash 008 (left) and the Speed Series (right). Cylinder, designed for both accountability and rapid-entry ap- plications. It combines two cylinder technologies — the Medeco XT electronic cylinder and the Medeco X4 mechanical cylinder — in one mortise cylinder housing. Both cylinders operate in- dependently of one another, providing the ability to use either the mechanical or electronic key.
