The series began with AI Code: Navigating Policy Considerations for Contractors, featuring Jack Koop (ANDRES Construction), Adam Robertson (Andrews Myers, P.C.) and Ryan Shults (Gilbane Building Co.). The session explored AI policy frameworks, including data privacy, security and ethics, and offered strategies for contractors to adopt AI responsibly throughout all phases of construction. The second session, Doors, Frames and Hardware: The Myster- ies Unhinged, was led by AGC Houston’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and included presentations by Cameron McElhany (LaForce, Inc.) and Natasha Osmanbhoy (Flipside Specialties), with moderation by Tara Moore (Linbeck Group, LLC), Randi Fronczek (McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.), Matthew Gressler (Marek Brothers Systems, LLC) and Brandon Gauger (TDIndustries, Inc.). Participants learned practical skills to navigate the complexities of door systems. The final session, Insure IQ: Demystifying Insurance, featured Ed Durham (Anslow Bryant Construction, Ltd.), Steve Pierce (Alliant Insurance Services), Bobby Taylor (Bowen, Miclette & Britt Insurance Agency, LLC) and Aaron Clark (Lockton Companies, LLC). Attendees gained a better understanding of surety and bonding, general liability, builder’s risk and project-related policies, leaving with actionable knowledge to help protect their projects and businesses.
